Responsibility

  • conduct regular maintenance and inspections on HGVs to ensure they meet safety standards and legal requirements
  • diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on HGVs
  • perform emergency breakdown repairs at customer sites and roadside on a 24 hour call out rota
  • carry out routine servicing, MOT preparations, and vehicle inspections
  • maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used, labour time, and service details
  • ensure that company vehicles and equipment are kept in good working condition
  • comply with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Requirements

  • full, clean UK driving license
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent HGV Technician qualification Minimum of 3 years' experience working with HGVs Strong diagnostic skills and a practical understanding of HGVs and associated systems
  • knowledge of diagnostic tools and software Previous experience working as a mobile technician Knowledge moving deck systems Knowledge of trailer EBS Haldex / Wabco / Knorr-Bremse
  • working with HGV Vehicle: 3 years
