- undertake effective and efficient assessment of service users including risk assessment, the development of care/support plans and ensuring that these are implemented and monitored
- responsibility for the safe administration and ordering of medication for service users in conjunction with Care Dorset’s Handling of Medication policy and The Royal Pharmaceutical Guidelines for Care Homes
- undertake/delegate hourly patrols of the building
- bring to the attention of the Manager any matters of concern in respect of staff performance, Health and Safety or building security or care of the residents
- 13. Undertake any other duties of a lesser or comparable nature as required by the Managing Director
- 10. Respond to medical or other emergencies in accordance with Care Dorset’s policies and procedures
Requirements
- appropriate qualification – NVQ level 3 or above
- awareness of Community Care legislation
- significant knowledge and application of relevant legislation e.g., Care Standards Act 2000, Community Care Act 1991
