Responsibility

  • our Children’s Homes have been adapted to create a warm and welcoming environment which children can call home
  • overseeing the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to
  • provide leadership and support to staff members and promote a positive and nurturing environment for the children in our care
  • recruit, train, and supervise staff members to ensure that they meet the needs of the children in our care
  • we are currently seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager for our multiple building Ofsted-registered home based in Gravesend. The home provides care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • managing budgets and resources effectively, and ensuring that the home operates in a financially sustainable manner
  • we have built up an outstanding reputation with nearly 10 years combined experience in the semi-independent supported living sector via, this also enables us to offer a seamless transition into supportive living accommodation, allowing young people to maintain established relationships with a consistent care approach into adulthood
  • as the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring that the children receive the highest quality of care

Requirements

  • level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • previous experience working as a Registered Manager within a children's home setting
  • knowledge and understanding of legislation
  • regulations and guidance relating to residential childcare
  • experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • excellent communication
  • leadership and organisational skills
  • experience in recruiting
