- quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations, scope of works specifications, and safety regulations
- resource Management: Manage project resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and labour, to optimise productivity and minimise waste
- schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines
- project Management: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of residential construction projects, Mainly Loft conversions from planning and procurement to construction and completion
- problem Solving: Identify and address project challenges and obstacles proactively, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track
- on-Site Supervision: Lead and manage on-site construction team, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards, achieving all project milestones
- documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders, to ensure accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- trades Background: Qualified tradesperson with significant hands-on experience in residential construction
- leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment
- carpentry: 5 years
- communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- problem-Solving Ability: Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
- technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of all construction methods, building, regulations, and construction best practices
- valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites is required
