Responsibility
- support the production of the monthly accounts including the consolidation process to Group
- assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, tax packs and compliance reporting
- manage IFRS 16 and lease accounting
- assist with identifying and implementing control based improvements to systems and processes
- produce commentaries for group to explain the key drivers of financial performance
- support the Group Accountant and CFO with any ad-hoc requests
- work collaboratively with the wider team on change initiatives
- liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, providing the necessary documentation to ensure a smooth and efficient process
Requirements
- qualified accountant
- strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS 16 highly desirable
- previous audit and statutory reporting experience is highly desirable
- significant experience with ERP and accounting software, particularly Sage 200
- strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- demonstrable ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely financial information to challenging timescales
- accounting: 1 year
- self-starter who is capable of working independently, as well as part of a team
