Responsibility

  • the job role includes carrying out safety inspections, defect repairs, servicing, fault finding using the latest diagnostics equipment and M.O.T preparation
  • D H Armitage pride ourselves on looking after our staff and understand the need of a work/life balance
  • we are well established family run firm trading for over 50 years in the Repair & Maintenance sector. We are based in Hoyland Common, Barnsley S74 and are less than 5 mins from junction 36 of the M1
  • rates of pay negotiable based on qualification and experience
  • due to our expanding business we have the opportunity available for an enthusiastic mechanic to join our team on a full time basis and work with us on a range of vehicles from vans and light goods vehicles to heavy goods vehicles and trailers
  • class 1 license preferred but not essential
  • which is why although overtime is available as and when requested we tend to keep our working week to a Monday - Friday basis to give our staff the weekend to wind down and relax
