Responsibility
- your role will be to oversee the smooth running of the evening operation so you’ll need to be comfortable working on your own initiative within network regulations
- reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the operation including organising collections, entering bookings on our in-house system, labelling and scanning pallets onto our trunk vehicles, loading and unloading vehicles, warehouse/storage management and maintaining an efficient flow of vehicles through the yard
- you will need a good telephone manner and must enjoy dealing with people as you will be liaising directly with our customers, as well as working with our drivers and other depots
- managerial experience in a busy logistics environment is essential for this role. As a permanent full time position you will receive 30 days paid holiday including bank holidays
