Responsibility

  • cakes and bakes Barkingside is looking for a Baker / cake decorator
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • who will be responsible working in the kitchen for baking and cake making with decoration presentation skills to attract customers
  • follow all food safety procedures, including sanitary food handling practices. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the kitchen
  • perform other tasks related to kitchen responsibilities as assigned
  • they should make various types of sponges and cake bases from weighing, mixing, fermenting and baking
  • they should produce cakes with various finishes, flavours and styles in cake decorating for all occasions and celebrations
  • they should speak with customers in person and over the phone and should produce tailor made or bespoke cakes and confectioneries

Requirements

  • the ideal candidate must have minimum of three years experience in baking and cake decorating, will be able to follow instructions, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, able to stand for long periods of time, available to work on weekends and have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • baking/ cake decorating: 3 years
