- strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
- valid driver’s license
- mechanical knowledge: 3 years
- chester, Cheshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
- perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake servicing, and general inspections
- diagnose and repair faults on a wide variety of vehicles
- carry out more extensive repairs, such as timing belt replacements, brake changes, and suspension work
- support internal car sales by ensuring the readiness and safety of vehicles
- work both independently and as part of a team to meet service deadlines
- communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure clear understanding of repairs and recommendations
- adhere to health and safety regulations in all work processes
- previous experience as an MOT Tester is required
- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- identify and document any defects or issues found during the inspection
