Responsibility
- learn and develop skills in fenestration fabrication techniques, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to manufacture bifold door hardware components
- assist experienced fabricators in operating machinery, such as saws, drills, and routers, to produce accurate and high-quality components
- follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
- learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate components
- participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge
- communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to understand project requirements and provide progress updates
- occasionally, there may be opportunities for international travel to visit customers and assist with installations or provide technical support
Requirements
- willingness to enrol in a Level 2 apprenticeship program in fenestration fabrication
- A strong interest in the fenestration industry, with a passion for learning and developing practical skills
- full clean driver's license
- strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision to achieve high-quality results
- excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- basic knowledge of technical drawings and measurements is desirable but not essential
- flexibility and adaptability to work on various tasks and handle changing priorities
- problem-solving skills and the ability to learn from mistakes and seek guidance when needed
