Responsibility

  • the Dead Pigeon are looking for an energetic Grill Chef to join our lively kitchen in Rochester
  • the ideal candidate will have plenty of experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen turning out high volumes of quality food
  • you should be capable of multitasking under pressure and maintaining an eye for detail even during busy periods
  • working as part of a tight-knit team, you’ll be responsible for producing our renowned smash-patty burgers cooked to order for both dine-in and takeaway customers
  • we are a team of do-ers, so you need to be prepared to get stuck in and relish the challenges of a demanding role
  • we like to build around the team we have, providing plenty of training and opportunities for career progression. Additional bonuses include a 20% discount on food and drink, staff socials and days out
  • this is a full-time role of approximately 40 hours per week, with a mix of shifts during the daytime, evenings and weekends. We aim for our team members to work 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off where possible

Requirements

  • minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen, ideally with experience in a similar role
  • availability for shifts Monday - Sunday, daytimes and evenings
  • familiarity with cooking burgers and / or street food
  • kitchen: 1 year
