the Dead Pigeon are looking for an energetic Grill Chef to join our lively kitchen in Rochester
the ideal candidate will have plenty of experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen turning out high volumes of quality food
you should be capable of multitasking under pressure and maintaining an eye for detail even during busy periods
working as part of a tight-knit team, you’ll be responsible for producing our renowned smash-patty burgers cooked to order for both dine-in and takeaway customers
we are a team of do-ers, so you need to be prepared to get stuck in and relish the challenges of a demanding role
we like to build around the team we have, providing plenty of training and opportunities for career progression. Additional bonuses include a 20% discount on food and drink, staff socials and days out
this is a full-time role of approximately 40 hours per week, with a mix of shifts during the daytime, evenings and weekends. We aim for our team members to work 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off where possible
Requirements
minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen, ideally with experience in a similar role
availability for shifts Monday - Sunday, daytimes and evenings
familiarity with cooking burgers and / or street food
