we are seeking a Purchasing Officer to work as part of our busy operations team in our office in Broomhill, Sheffield
the successful candidate will have responsibility for ordering products and stock from our suppliers
they will play an important role in the smooth running of the business by keeping the sales and operations teams up to date with lead times and any delays from suppliers
placing purchase orders for items through external suppliers’ website portals or via email
using suppliers’ price lists and online systems to find the correct product codes for ordering
maintaining our supplier database which includes contacts, terms, customs costs, brand closure dates and warranties
monitoring and tactical spending to achieve rebates, reduce transportation costs, and exploiting promotions
supporting with customs clearance and duty queries
