• damicor are recruiting for an Engineering Operations Manager for the UK's busiest airport. This is a critical hire for them and will form part of the engineering departments leadership team
• to undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required to support the Engineering team
• to focus on continuous improvement and excellent standards of delivery
• as the Senior Engineering Operations Manager for the Generation Engineering team, you will be accountable for delivering the operational maintenance plan for our Generation business unit
• ensuring delivery resource is appropriately managed and trained to a competent level
• provide advice and assistance to engineering staff and onsite staff when required
• to ensure ppm's are completed on time and within SLA's/KPI's- updates via meeting to the wider team
• as well as a variety of business partners, suppliers, and consultants, who all contribute to the maintenance and safe operation of our primary heating, cooling, and solid fuel combustion plant
• leading the delivery of the operational maintenance plan to ensure clear cost, asset performance, risk, compliance, health, safety, and environmental targets are achieved

• in this role, you will oversee the safe and compliant delivery of key operational, commercial, and performance plans to ensure an efficient business function that provides excellent service to colleagues, customers, and passengers
• ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the primary heating and cooling generation plant, including Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, and the onsite solid fuel combustion plant for sustainably generating heat and electricity, through planned and reactive maintenance works
• complete all allocated works in a timely fashion ensure completion for invoicing is communicated in line with procedures
• working with the Asset Manager and project teams to understand asset condition and performance, inform future decision-making, and oversee the delivery of asset replacement and re-life project works
• this role requires travel
• ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
• responsibility for all engineering activity on site including management of any installation and project work by external contractors
• liaise directly with engineering suppliers regarding maintenance and spares activity
• overseeing the maintenance of production equipment, facilities, compliance, and H&S
• communicate with clients on a regular basis to ensure correct levels of customer care/relationship building. This includes regular meetings where needed and following up with meeting minutes
• procure materials and equipment to conduct works
• to ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are not only implemented but championed
• act as a representative of the client carrying out work onsite as detailed by the Engineering Manager
• ensure high degree of communication at shift handover via verbal communication and documentation

Requirements

• A professional qualification within engineering or asset management
• experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
