CURRIE & BROWN INTERNATIONAL is looking for employees for positions:
group financial accountant
Responsibility
- consolidation of the Financial results for statutory reporting
- financial statements of centrally controlled entities, including accounts for companies in the UK, Jersey and Cyprus
- continuous review and documentation of group accounting policies and practices
- preparation of the Financial Statements of the Group’s subsidiary UK entities
- review of locally produced financial statements to ensure quality
- preparation of Quarterly submissions to our Middle Eastern parent, largely through use of OneStream software
- training of the wider finance team to ensure that they are kept abreast of all changed in IFRS
- liaison with External Auditors to ensure smooth delivery of audited financial statements in accordance with the Group timetable
Requirements
- the ability to review and understand financial systems and processes with a view to continuous improvement
- good written and verbal communication skills and a professional manner
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude who is well-organised, diligent, proactive and enthusiastic about improvement
- good knowledge of IFRS
- at least 1 year of experience post ACA/ACCA qualification, and experience within the audit and advisory teams of the Big 4 accounting firms
