Responsibility
- working with transport providers to find the best possible solutions, maximising existing public transport
- implement software to help the smooth running of worker transport services
- liaise regularly with HR Managers in key businesses to check what their requirements are for transport
- work closely with the existing Partnerships & Projects team to keep up to date with requirements
- to set up and coordinate a plan for worker transport for Cumbria’s visitor economy, working closely with key partners e.g. Councils, LEP, LDNPA
- look for ways to reduce the number of separate car journeys being made thus reducing carbon emissions and reducing workers requirements for car parking in busy areas etc
- work closely with the Sustainable Travel lead to ensure this project dovetails with other key travel projects both in CT and external to CT
Requirements
- first class customer service skills
- relevant qualifications or proven experience in this field
- good presentation skills
- the ability to prioritise, organise and work under pressure with the ability to work unsupervised where necessary
- A good knowledge of tourism in Cumbria
- current driving licence and access to a vehicle
- transport: 2 years
- tourism: 1 year
