Responsibility
- participate in the assessment of service users mental and physical health, promptly reporting observations to the manager
- provide care in accordance with individual service users' care plans
- assist service users in maintaining their dignity, privacy and choice, treating them with respect at all times
- provide meals for service users when due and ensure all prescribed medications are administered accordingly
- maintain a cleaning environment throughout the residence and complete all paperwork during and after every shift
- working as part of the team without favour or prejudice, covering all your shifts as allocated. Ensuring all hand-overs meetings are properly conducted in such manner that all details are captured
- support service users to undertake activities that are designed to help them towards recovery and to regain independence. Supporting them as well in maintaining tidy environment
- work as part of a team, exchanging appropriate information with service users, key workers, and other team members on a regular basis
Requirements
- worked in a support environment with mental health residents for a minimum of one year
- minimum NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care
- support Environment: 1 year
