- negotiate favourable terms and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and timely delivery
- monitor Asia market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain developments to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge
- collaborate with production and design teams to understand material requirements and ensure procurement activities meet production schedules and quality standards
- conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, addressing issues promptly, and fostering strong, long-term relationships
- manage the procurement budget effectively, tracking expenses, and optimizing costs while upholding product quality standards
Requirements
- proven track record of successful negotiations, supplier management, and cost optimization within the international market
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
- strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset for identifying opportunities and mitigating risks in the procurement process
- knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics within the Asia market is highly desirable
- minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or sourcing, with a focus on the Asia market
