- adhere to deadlines and keep the manager/partner informed of progress at all times
- liaison with clients and HMRC
- participate in team and firm wide activities and training opportunities
- dependent on experience, managing a portfolio of clients
- take responsibility for own work, prioritising as necessary and keep technically up to date
- assist in the planning, execution and completion of all areas of the audit for manager and partner review, including the preparation of draft reports to senior client management and Audit Committees/Boards
- produce work for manager and partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
- undertake additional duties as reasonably required
- maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face to face meetings
- show initiative and a willingness to take responsibility for ownership and completion of each audit assignment within the agreed budget and within deadlines
- act as the principal contact for the client during the on-site fieldwork and follow up on client queries once on-site work is completed

Requirements
- qualified Chartered Accountant holding an ACA or ACCA qualification
- have a minimum of 3 years previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
- qualified ACA, ICAS or ACCA with audit experience gained within a UK practice environment
