Responsibility

  • the ideal candidate will have excellent bookkeeping skills and the drive to succeed as part of the Foundation’s Resources team
  • about the Role and You
  • the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the voluntary sector, particularly learning about trusts and foundations and grant making, as well as developing skills in understanding bookkeeping and accounting principles within the sector
  • this is an ideal role for someone who would like to develop their career in finance within the voluntary sector which can act as a stepping stone towards a more senior role under the guidance and direction of a supportive team, and we are keen on developing the skills of someone with an appetite to learn
  • being able to communicate with colleagues, on time and with clarity is therefore a required competency for the successful candidate
  • this is an excellent opportunity to join a small, yet dynamic team in Islington, London for someone who has the passion to help the Foundation to address these inequalities and to tackle poverty and inequality at a local level
  • knowledge of the workings of key accounting packages, particularly Sage 50 Cloud Accounts and Sage Payroll would be advantageous
