Responsibility
- to develop and drive the channel objectives, strategy and priorities with full end to end ownership
- develop and design products and value propositions for each category and customer channels
- undertake research and development from a category perspective as part of an ongoing program
- understand key drivers of category performance Analysing current spend information to develop procurement strategies
- shaping and management of supplier relationships to ensure value is delivered, risk is mitigated, and regulatory compliance objectives are met
- assist with the management of product forecasts, providing guidance and direction where relevant
- establish relationships with buyers, product marketers, provide sales and marketing initiative development support
- risk analysis of the supply chain and asset base to establish a demand pipeline and to drive volume and margin sales
Requirements
- senior specialist commercial / industry experience in purchasing and supply in a senior management role
- basic knowledge / the ability to learn quickly the products sold within the markets we operate
- experience of product launches
- A proven track record in value delivery, improvement activity and best practice development in the procurement function
- A thirst for knowledge, an inquisitive mind-set and drive for results
