Responsibility

  • stripping the vehicle, removing the engine and gear box, stripping ancillaries and the bare engine assembly
  • have a good understanding of engine component operation and be able to troubleshoot and identify issues and reasons for failures
  • rebuild the bare engine with new and existing components, understanding what is acceptable and up to spec
  • refit engine, gear box and ancillaries. Reassemble vehicle efficiently and safely with new and existing components
  • build record keeping
  • required to use their own tools and transport
