Responsibility
- directing, and at times hands-on engineering and troubleshooting across optical domain from concept through delivery
- commissioning and specification of complete optical systems, and support for acceptance testing and integration
- via the Chief Engineer Office, reporting to board on technical feasibility and progress, flagging and prioritising risks and issues
- internal technical diligence and design authority functions, supporting the same across partners and stakeholders
- delivery of concise technical information to a range of stakeholders including wider team, technical audiences, space agency experts, and customers
- ensuring adaptation of optical systems for survivability and operation in the space environment
- cross-company support for space optical systems: imaging and tele-communications
- supporting business cell leads with optical subject matter expertise for space environment relevant to quantum technology, mission systems architecture and integration, edge compute and onboard intelligence
