sales assistant
Responsibility
- greet customers, explain our products' benefits, our company ethos and assist customers in selecting products which meet their needs
- develop, organise, promote and run customer events in-store
- promote the store locally via social media, local networks and other media
- accurately and efficiently operate the EPos, cards and appointments/booking systems in-store
- create an attractive and welcoming environment in-store
- work effectively as part of the retail team and more widely with the Malton-based manufacturing team
- meet sales targets and upsell additional services or products to customers as appropriate
- handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner
Requirements
- A passion for ethical, sustainable skincare, beauty and wellness products
- A proven ability to generate sales through service
- previous experience in a customer facing, sales and service focused, retail environment
- strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- proficient at operating an EPos system, including taking cash and card payments
- excellent team player able to relate to a diversity of other team members and customers in an appropriate, empathetic and professional way
- retail sales: 1 year
