Responsibility

  • we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our client's expanding team of incredible people based in the North East
  • our client is expanding and requires a dynamic financial leader to challenge the status quo and drive the business forward
  • you will need a hands-on approach, quickly getting to grips with current processes and reporting capabilities alongside future plans
  • you will work closely with key stakeholders, providing critical insight that challenges operational cost and drives profitable growth
  • you will embed a culture of “no surprises” centred around the principles of integrity, transparency and financial excellence
  • A key priority of this role is to implement a new dynamic management information system that provides timely, accurate performance data alongside robust forecasts for presentation to the Board
  • experienced in leading small teams to drive improvements and best practice, you will be highly skilled in people management and passionate about team performance
  • you will join a hard-working, entrepreneurial team within a fast paced, challenging and rewarding environment. This role will suit a candidate that is ready to bring their ‘A game’ with a view to quickly stepping up to Director level

Requirements

  • high level of integrity and professionalism

  • excellent knowledge of accountancy rules/best practice
  • excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • A passionate individual focused on innovation and excellence
  • experience of accounting packages
  • qualified Chartered accountant
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance
