A good place to work, interesting environment with no 2 days being the same. Frustration comes from the negative reviews that get left online as a result of marketing emails… and whilst I understand that can be a source of irritation the amount of hassle that staff get as a result of keyboard warriors is unfair. That being said, the Company is very supportive and the staff are great to work with.
As an ex-employee of Corporate Commercial Surveyors, I can say that this is completely untrue. This comment speaks about negative reviews, yet they are completely justified when the company is only interested in chasing businesses for their money and not to help them save money as promised! And saying that the company is supportive to their staff is a load of rubbish too. They will only focus on the staff that they like and won't even bother trying to help the staff that need help or require further training! The training is completely poor and unprofessional and it was because of the treatment I witnessed to myself and a couple of others that I decided I was going to leave the company. I can hands down say I am embarrassed to even work for a bunch of scammers that only want to take your money and I hope they get exposed for who they really are. As for the staff there making loads of money from their commissions in "saving customer's their money", you should get a job you could actually be proud to do without the need to scam others who actually go out and work hard for what they earn.
I'm not saying this out of spite. I'm saying this to protect people so they can actually save their money for real by not letting Corporate Commercial Surveyors touch your money because the company is a scam. Stay well away.
Could you describe a bit more about the training process? What specifically made it poor and unprofessional? Any incidents or examples would be helpful to understand the situation better.
Well from my first few days at Hampton Lovett (before they changed their identity to Corporate Commercial Surveyors), they would have me sitting with the manager and one of the assessors writing down notes, writing the things to say and not to say, as well as details about the company's history which ultimately didn't help in any form of training for the job at all if I'm honest. After that we were dumped to one side listening in on calls from other staff members until we were basically told we were going on the phones. The staff get a folder of data of various businesses which they search on the GOV website to see how much they pay in business rates and how much they can potentially "save" them. They use a script which they repeat to their customers once they have got your interest at the start of the call and will run by it word by word. The same script was used after the company changed it's name after Hampton Lovett kept getting so many negative reviews and comments. As for what made it even more poor, we as new starters were never assisted by the management or given any tips or help to help us learn the job, nor were we taken notice of as the management liked to focus on their favourite members of staff and give them their time to help them achieve results rather than help the staff that were actually struggling. When they did notice, they just got an assessor to sit with us again but not actually help us. It made me feel more of a hindrance than a valued member of staff.
As time went on and I began speaking with more customers and hearing about their experiences with the company and how some of them were still waiting months (or even a year or more on some occasions) for the company to go back to them after taking their money, the pieces started falling into place for the type of company I was working for and I didn't like it. All they cared about was taking money from business owners with no care to actually help them and they would do anything it took, including lying to the customers, in order to get it. They even had a chart on the wall showing the amount the staff on the phone calls make once they've secured a successful booking with customers and the more money they're told they could get back, the more money the company would get out of you. The fact that one assessor actually said he's been telling customers he takes no commission when in reality he actually does get a cut from it really disgusted me and made me feel ashamed to even be in the same building as them.
Believe me when I say as tempting as it is when they say they can save you money or even get money back, it would be a lot safer in the long run for you to say no to them and keep your money where it's safe from their greedy hands.
Apologies, I tagged the wrong comment in my above reply. I'm writing this to tag you in this one so that you can see the above comment.
Thank you.
This is a far cry from the environment I worked in. I wonder if you have the same company.
Just been duped by them myself. Trying to sue them for material misrepresentation and inducement in the County Courts. If unsuccessful I will use some of my journalist patients and go to the newspapers
Material misrepresentation and inducement. Totally unethical. No governing body or regulator. Scamming companies. UK shouldn’t allow these companies to operate. I’ve just been scammed by Corporate Commercial Surveyors
Sorry but I am merely stating what I had personally witnessed from my time there. And the fact that people seem to give my response a thumbs down just makes me think they're from people that work with the company or have been asked to do so because all I have done in my comments is try to protect business owners from being scammed. Look at the latest comments on this reply, two more people stating how they have been scammed by CCS! It's disgusting behaviour and I don't know how the people in that business can live with themselves! And for you to say you think I might be referring to a different company, I can assure you I know full well who I worked for, and I'm ashamed to admit ever working with them in the first place. Had I known the kind of business I was walking into in the first place, I never would have done it. But on the other hand, at least I can use what I have experienced to warn others from getting scammed by them.
Crooks, as far as I can tell they don't actually have a business. Its just a company name designed for Hampton Lovett to dump disgruntled customers into. No phone numbers, emails don't get answered, no work gets done??
Stay well clear!
Why do you say they have no business? I can see they are registered and it looks like they operate. Do you have any bad experiences with them?
Google business rates reduction scams - it’s terrifying its been discussed in Parliament do not have them to your property do not engage above reviews say everything beware
There are problems in the industry… the scams you refer to relate to the application for Small Business Rates Relief on behalf of businesses who already had a low enough rateable value to warrant receiving the relief.
This is not a service provided by CCS.
Total scammers high pressure and illegal collection tactics
Corporate Commercial Surveyors is the new company set up from Hampton Lovett after the reviews exposed them.
You need to choose your words carefully when leaving a review here otherwise they get them deleted.
In short, do not use this company, you will not get any rate reduction and you will not get your money back.
What did you write to make them delete the review? :D It must be hard to explain they scammed you, using nice words...
