Responsibility
perform medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing under the supervision of the clinical pharmacist/s
assist with medication safety monitoring systems
liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries
improve service and quality through mechanisms such as audits
support the clinical pharmacists in Structured Medication Reviews
support the role of PCN clinical pharmacists in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services including processing discharge/clinic letters from secondary care
good understanding of PCN Pharmacy Technician working
A Pharmacy Technician with prior experience working as a PCN or Practice Pharmacy Technician focussed on delivering excellent clinical care

completing discharge and clinic letters
drawing up structured medication reviews as PCN Pharmacist
advising and supporting patients with self-limiting conditions
helping improve communication about medication-related issues between the practice and other care providers
leading on the implementation of safe and efficient repeat prescribing systems
providing specialist knowledge and advice on pharmaceutical matters, including cost-effective prescribing and clinical guidelines for disease treatment, as well as providing evidence-based education and training for colleagues in partnership with the practice
