Responsibility

  • we are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter to join our team of hard working, innovative individuals
  • please do not apply if you have no experience with the previously mentioned assets and machinery
  • you must be used to working at heights and in confined spaces
  • as a mechanical fitter at GRM, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of utilities assets on-site and in our workshop
  • experience in working with screens, valves of all types, heat exchangers, pumps, gearboxes, compactors, pipework, settlement tanks etc is ESSENTIAL for this position
  • you will need to be comfortable working in a team of 2-3 whilst on site and also competent working on your own when carrying out workshop activities
  • experience of maintenance procedures, risk and COSHH assessments, Safe Systems of Work is ESSENTIAL
  • you will also need Mechanical Fitter experience and a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to NVQ Level 3 to apply for this job
