Requirements

• good Knowledge of 12 & 24 electrical systems
• good Knowledge of 12 & 24 volt electrical systems
• relevant electrical qualification and/or suitable experience

• excellent Knowledge of working with diesel engines. Mechanical and electrical injection systems
• automotive electrics would also be advantageous but not essential
• basic mechanical fitting skills
• ability to perform electrical modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
• welding and light fabrication using MIG
• experienced in using a centre lathe and milling machines
• worked with 12- & 24-volt systems
• familiarity with motors and control systems
• an understanding of function of hydraulic systems
• PAT Testing
• understand and work from electrical circuit diagrams and drawings
• experience in disassembly, repair and inspection of small plant
• identifying and introducing new technology, including liaising with equipment suppliers and creating specifications and acceptances
• able to diagnose and fault find
• experience in a maintenance/service role
• knowledge of CAN bus based systems
• knowledge of electrical standards and best practice
• full UK driving licence
• familiarity with any electrical computer packages
