Responsibility

  • provide advice on and use of whole life costing techniques
  • utilising industry software and guidance information such as BCIS and cost publications
  • checking / writing projects Contracts
  • measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances
  • manage variations as they occur
  • preparing feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, budgets and cost plans; maintaining databases; providing tender and other analysis and providing advice on the economics of design at the early stages of a project
  • prepare and discuss the final account for projects
  • prepare monthly Cost Value Reports, both internal and external
