Responsibility

  • exercising keen oversight over purchases, particularly in stock

  • being primary point of contact and on-site lead during the Christmas Light Trail, overseeing all aspects of execution to ensure seamless operations and exceptional attendee experiences
  • encourage teamwork and communication to handle the high volume of customers typical of festive events
  • responsible for leading teams across multi-bar setups, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service by providing clear and structured leadership, delegating tasks effectively, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring that team members are delivering exceptional customer service
  • regularly assess bar inventory levels and forecasting stock requirements to prevent overordering while maintaining enough stock to meet customer demands during busy periods
  • promote a positive and collaborative working environment, especially crucial during the cold outdoor environment typical of winter events
  • maintain a positive, festive atmosphere that aligns with the spirit of the event, enhancing the overall guest experience

Requirements

  • an understanding of the importance of valuing and motivating a team
  • personal Licence Holder
  • full Driver’s Licence
  • experienced in managing in a fast-paced hospitality, production or events setting
  • rough Terrain Telehandler Ticket
  • an understanding of the demands of both the event and hospitality industry
  • preferably First Aid and / or Food Safety certification
  • A good understanding of EPOS systems

bar manager

Responsibility

  • manage day-to-day bar operations, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency
  • supervise, train, and motivate bar staff to maintain excellent customer service
  • oversee stock control, ordering, and deliveries to ensure sufficient supplies throughout the event
  • handle cashing up, till management, and daily sales reporting
  • ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and hygiene regulations
  • work closely with event management to maintain the festive theme and atmosphere
  • handle customer queries and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
  • maintain a clean, organised, and safe bar environment at all times

Requirements

  • previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender in a busy venue
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, festive environment
  • personal Licence Holder
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak holiday dates
  • bar management: 1 year
