Responsibility

  • the successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside other management as a Café Manager at Cocoa Joe's York
  • you will need to be highly personable, articulate, and charismatic
  • you will initially be trained working alongside the General Manager, and once fully trained you will be relied upon to regularly be in charge of an amazing small team of front of house staff and operations of the store
  • as part of a small, focused team, you will be involved in all aspects of running a shop and, most importantly, engaging and enthusing customers
  • this is a great role for an all-rounder who is happy to jump into working with our brilliant team
  • customer service involves more than just taking orders and sending out drinks; it is about welcoming customers, helping them understand the range of delicious chocolates available, providing quick curated tastings, and being happy to chat whilst doing so
  • you can’t have a café without drinks, so we are also looking for someone who has a good attention to detail and presentation, and preferably someone with barista experience
  • on the operational side you will be supporting the Senior Store manager with tasks such as inventory rotation and ordering, cleaning, promotional plans and staff management
