Responsibility

  • producing Teaching aids and updating displays and visual materials around the department
  • ensure that equipment and working areas are kept in clean and tidy order, specifically after lessons
  • routine maintenance of LEV systems to ensure they run efficiently, e.g. check and empty extraction systems on a regular basis
  • organise any external repair and maintenance of equipment so that it is maintained and kept in good working order
  • main Purpose : Under the instruction/guidance of the Head of Department, provide general support in the Design Technology department, including preparation and maintenance of resources, and support to staff and students
  • routine maintenance and adjustment of machines and equipment including sharpening of hand tools
