purchase ledger administrator

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • posting invoices to the system
  • reconciliations of supplier statements against system postings
  • sending invoices to the relevant departments for authorisation
  • dealing with queries to ensure the ledger is up to date
  • answering telephones and emails
  • liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • ensuring all work is completed and reports are complete before monthly and yearly period end
  • flexibility to adjust to ad-hoc challenges as required

Requirements

  • strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • ability to work well in a team
  • excellent communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
  • ability to accurately follow written and verbal instruction
  • able to prioritise own workload
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • have a methodical approach to work, and able to problem solve using own initiative
  • confident at learning and using bespoke IT systems
