Requirements
- proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
- must have City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Light vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence or NVQ Level 3
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems using Diagnostic tools
- A current Air Conditioning F Gas Certificate preferable
- proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely
- excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A valid driving licence is essential
Responsibility
- A valid MOT Licence would be advantageous but not essential
- diagnose and interpret mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment
- utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform repairs
- maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles
- collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop
- carry out routine service, maintenance and repairs on all makes and models of cars, vans and Motorhomes to include, brake replacements, experience in cambelt and clutch replacements and tyre rotations, Air Con systems, electrical experience would be advantageous
- stay updated on industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology
