Requirements
- A background in mechanical engineering with engine and CHP system experience preferred
- trained to HNC level desirable
- CSCS card holder
- full UK Driving license
- experience and knowledge of Engine cooling circuits and their associated sub systems
- general mechanical installation awareness of pipes and their associated fittings and installation methods
- understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements, including manual handling and general
- basic PC skills
Responsibility
- work as part of an integrated H&S system including working with Permit to Work systems as required
- work part of a project team to ensure all project installations are mechanically sound for approval of installation and fit for commissioning activities
- this will entail working closely with the site project team to resolve mechanical issues that occur during construction, commissioning and on-going testing and running of such plants
- liaise and communicate on a regular basis and as required for the smooth operation of the project, to include
- suggest and implement cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project team upon mechanical installation issues, and plan and organise the work sufficiently in order to meet agreed timescales and deadlines set by the project manager and project engineer
- testing, flushing and charging of complex engine cooling circuits and their related sub-systems to relevant technical standards outlined in the design documentation and manufacturer’s instructions
