Responsibility
- working on all types of plant machinery covering all aspects including hydraulics, electronics, mechanical, air conditioning and auxiliary systems
- carrying out onsite repairs, maintenance and warranty work adhering to site instructions and customer requirements
- preparing equipment to a high standard ensuring it meets site conditions and safety instructions
- using diagnostic equipment to aid fault finding
- working to deadlines to ensure customers demand is met
- carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components
- carrying out work to a high quality, including inspection, prevention, renovation and modification
- undertaking detailed inspections of machines and assess the likely repair, replacement or refurbishment work necessary and liaising with other departments to build up a cost and time estimate
Requirements
- professional qualification in either plant/agriculture
- extensive knowledge of plant and all systems related to plant machinery
- full UK Driving license
- main dealer experience is beneficial but not essential
- evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in plant/agricultural industry
- excellent attention to detail, work accuracy and quality orientated
- strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business
- able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
