pharmacist

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • this is patient facing role and you will be based within the practices
  • please note this post will involve travelling from site to site and access to own mode of transport will be advantageous
  • completing mandatory infection prevention training
  • challenging poor infection prevention and control practices
  • the post holder will work within their clinical competencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician associates and social prescribers to provide expertise in clinical medicines optimisation across the PCN
  • it is however mandated by NHS England that this role is patient-facing in nature
  • the post holder will be required to enrol onto the General Practice Pharmacist Training Pathway from CPPE and to enrol on a prescribing course if a non-medical prescriber qualification is not already held
  • the post holder will be expected to work with other Health and Social Care agencies across Bradford, to implement a co-ordinated medicines optimisation approach across the wider health economy

Requirements

  • professional Registration Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council; Membership Primary Care Pharmacy Association ; Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
  • extensive knowledge of medicines optimisation, acquired through post graduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent experience or training
  • demonstrates an understanding of, and conforms to, relevant standards of practice
  • follows professional and organisational policies/procedures relating to performance management
  • holds or willing to work towards an independent prescribing qualification
  • experience At least one year’s post-qualification clinical experience in General Practice
  • commensurable experience working at advanced level 1 of the RPS pharmacy framework, demonstrated within practice portfolio
  • qualifications and Training Professional knowledge acquired through vocational master’s degree in pharmacy + 1 year pre-registration training
