this is patient facing role and you will be based within the practices
please note this post will involve travelling from site to site and access to own mode of transport will be advantageous
completing mandatory infection prevention training
challenging poor infection prevention and control practices
the post holder will work within their clinical competencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician associates and social prescribers to provide expertise in clinical medicines optimisation across the PCN
it is however mandated by NHS England that this role is patient-facing in nature
the post holder will be required to enrol onto the General Practice Pharmacist Training Pathway from CPPE and to enrol on a prescribing course if a non-medical prescriber qualification is not already held
the post holder will be expected to work with other Health and Social Care agencies across Bradford, to implement a co-ordinated medicines optimisation approach across the wider health economy

Requirements
professional Registration Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council; Membership Primary Care Pharmacy Association ; Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
extensive knowledge of medicines optimisation, acquired through post graduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent experience or training
demonstrates an understanding of, and conforms to, relevant standards of practice
follows professional and organisational policies/procedures relating to performance management
holds or willing to work towards an independent prescribing qualification
experience At least one year’s post-qualification clinical experience in General Practice
commensurable experience working at advanced level 1 of the RPS pharmacy framework, demonstrated within practice portfolio
qualifications and Training Professional knowledge acquired through vocational master’s degree in pharmacy + 1 year pre-registration training
