Responsibility
- this is patient facing role and you will be based within the practices
- please note this post will involve travelling from site to site and access to own mode of transport will be advantageous
- completing mandatory infection prevention training
- challenging poor infection prevention and control practices
- the post holder will work within their clinical competencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician associates and social prescribers to provide expertise in clinical medicines optimisation across the PCN
- it is however mandated by NHS England that this role is patient-facing in nature
- the post holder will be required to enrol onto the General Practice Pharmacist Training Pathway from CPPE and to enrol on a prescribing course if a non-medical prescriber qualification is not already held
- the post holder will be expected to work with other Health and Social Care agencies across Bradford, to implement a co-ordinated medicines optimisation approach across the wider health economy

Requirements
- professional Registration Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council; Membership Primary Care Pharmacy Association ; Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
- extensive knowledge of medicines optimisation, acquired through post graduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent experience or training
- demonstrates an understanding of, and conforms to, relevant standards of practice
- follows professional and organisational policies/procedures relating to performance management
- holds or willing to work towards an independent prescribing qualification
- experience At least one year’s post-qualification clinical experience in General Practice
- commensurable experience working at advanced level 1 of the RPS pharmacy framework, demonstrated within practice portfolio
- qualifications and Training Professional knowledge acquired through vocational master’s degree in pharmacy + 1 year pre-registration training
