Working hours

Responsibility

  • focusing on service delivery and continuous improvement, supporting internal and external clients with delivery of product
  • overseeing the identification, picking and safe loading of correct stock for customer orders, carrying out any special customer requirements as necessary
  • responsible for keeping costs within budget set by Supply Chain Management
  • responsible for effective management of the despatch function and warehousing ensuring budget targets are met and the best use of space is made within the warehouse for fast turnaround of product and equipment
  • liaising with sales and engineering teams directly to ensure delivery deadlines are achieved
  • supporting operational team with deliveries/stock, processing, waste collections etc
  • working collaboratively with operational team on shared areas of responsibility
  • ensuring stock accuracy in the warehouse and in the ERP system. Maintaining stock quality to prevent damage and deterioration whilst in storage

Requirements

  • have previously held a warehouse management position with experience and accountability for performance
  • direct experience of operations within a fast-paced logistics environment with high levels of inbound/outbound activity
  • understanding of production, despatch, and warehouse processes
  • understanding best practice and effective implementation
  • thorough understanding of health and safety processes within the warehouse environment
  • strong communication, influencing and coaching skills
  • the successful Warehouse Manager will live within a commuting distance of the operation centre in Uxbridge and be able to demonstrate the following experience
  • flexible and adaptable to changing demands, whilst bringing new ideas to the role
