Requirements

  • maintenance and daily/weekly checks of the department’s machinery, tools and equipment
  • update risk assessments for machinery, tools and equipment on an annual basis
  • receive large material orders; store/distribute as necessary
  • preparation of wood, plastic, metal and fabric materials as requested by teaching staff
  • support GCSE Design Technology teaching staff and students with practical aspects of the GCSE course work
  • PAT testing trained
  • maintenance and use of CAM hardware to support teaching staff
  • keep track of stock . Liaising with the head of department and teaching staff to compile orders when required
