Responsibility
- volunteers when working together
- to provide a customer focused tenancy support service to residents to enable them to maintain their tenancy
- to ensure service users receive a welcoming, supportive and positive experience whilst accessing CHESS services
- to ensure the completion of all entry and exit paperwork, including housing benefit claim or universal credit – housing element
- to build warm, positive relationships with service users, keeping their best interests at heart
- to ensure safe standards are maintained in properties and service users abide by the rules and conditions of their licence
- to ensure all paperwork is completed on service user entry and exit from the service
- enabling clients to access benefits they are entitled to
Education
- essential
- understanding of or experience of working face to face with vulnerable people
- ability to assess clients risks and needs and produce support pathways and plans
- ability to manage difficult situations, and deal with them calmly, efficiently and effectively
- good knowledge of voluntary sector services and statutory rights of homeless people
- ability to accurately record data
- networking and developing relationships with community agencies
- understanding of safe-guarding procedures
Requirements
- A full driving licence is required for this post to facilitate support activities and moves, where necessary
- this role is subject to the satisfactory completion of a DBS check
