contribute support during busy times, responding flexibly to our busy environment. Participate in multi-agency, partnership and collaborative activities
line manage a team of specialist practitioners and oversee their caseload of individuals accessing 1-1 support. Oversee referrals received for individuals requiring specialist support one a 1-1 basis while prioritising risk and need
ensure that the safeguarding of clients and children is held as the number one priority of all staff and volunteers at all times
keep up to date with safeguarding legislation and local practice, and identify safeguarding concerns, make appropriate referrals and support practitioners to make referrals in relation to safeguarding
deputise for the Operations Manager during periods of absence, and in relation to specific matters e.g. Boards and steering groups
monitor staff performance through supervision, case reviews and quality assurance. Participate in weekly duty activities and rota based out of hours helpline/on-call at evenings and weekends
write reports during your work with families based on your assessments, their progress and final reports with recommendations. This includes for social care and Court
Contract type
full time, Permanent 37 hours per week plus on call work on a rota basis
on-call hours are paid additionally to salary. Working hours are usually agreed at offer stage
role involves working outside core office hours at evenings and weekends on a rota basis to cover our 24 hour helpline
Requirements
evidence of recent learning in a related field, e.g
social care, domestic abuse, probation
A commitment to supporting people affected by domestic abuse
understanding of the dynamics and typologies of domestic abuse
ability to work with a diverse group of staff, clients and volunteers
understanding of Safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A commitment to recognising the potential in all clients and understanding the importance of diversity in equality and the positive impact it can have for My CWA and the wider community
ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels
