Requirements
- previous experience as a fabricator/welder or in a similar role
- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication techniques
- ability to use various hand tools and welding equipment
- basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- MIG welding: 1 year
- fabrication: 1 year
Responsibility
- use basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal components
- assemble and weld metal parts using various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, or spot welding
- be able to dry build the car with new components and gap up new panels before welding
- inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- maintain a clean and organized work area
- be able to efficiently take a car apart, assess metal work required to be changed, be able to remove old metal work and let in new panels or where required make new basic panels
- some basic prep of metal work/bodywork will be required pre-primer coatings
