Responsibility
- this position is offered on a permanent basis working 2-4 days per week from Wednesday to Sunday
- prepare and serve high-quality artisan coffee, tea and other cold beverages with exceptional quality
- maintain a clean and organised workspace, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained
- ensure efficient and friendly customer service at all times so customers leave happy and excited about their next visit
- take customer orders and serve food and drinks accurately and efficiently
- this position is offered on a permanent basis working 35 hours per week, during our shop opening times 10am-4pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday
- anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- handle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records of all transactions
Requirements
- minimum of one year experience as a Barista
- ability to prepare and serve high-quality artisan coffee, tea, and other hot/cold beverages, preferably in a fast paced environment
- exceptional knowledge of various coffee brewing techniques
- proficient in using espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly
