Responsibility
- manage day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines
- develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for young people
- supervise and support a team of dedicated Support Workers, providing guidance and training as needed
- conduct regular assessments of the needs of young people, implement person centred support and safety plans
- coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for residents
- oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation
- monitor resident satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly
- maintain accurate records and reports related to resident care, staff performance, and facility operations
Requirements
- level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
- proven experience in a leadership role within children's care/support
- knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to effectively manage a team and promote a positive work culture
- compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide the highest quality of care to seniors
- strong organizational skills with attention to detail
