Requirements
- ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a strong focus on NLP
- proven track record of research in NLP, demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences and journals
- proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with deep learning frameworks
- strong knowledge of NLP techniques, including sequence-to-sequence models, and transformer architectures, LLM pretraining and fine tuning for novel tasks
- excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
- strong communication skills, including the ability to present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing is a plus
Responsibility
- publish at the highest level
- collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to train and evaluate NLP models
- develop and implement rigorous evaluation methods to assess the performance of NLP models
- stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and NLP research, and contribute to the development of novel solutions and approaches
- conduct cutting-edge research in NLP, including but not limited to Foundational LLM Training for Genomic Data, Develop State of the art models for genomic tasks, define metrics, datasets and benchmarks and release these models/datasets as open source for the research community
