Responsibility

  • providing compassionate care, support and advise to women undergoing treatment at a very vulnerable time in their journey
  • giving clinical advice to patients throughout their journey in person, via phone and email
  • supporting the consultant during clinics and minor theatre procedures
  • you will be responsible for checking and dispensing of medications and medication orders
  • you will be responsible for cannulating, venepuncture and administering IV infusions
  • you will participate in audits and contribute to the clinical governance structure
  • you will be involved in service improvements initiatives
  • be responsible for providing high standards of care at all times

Requirements

  • must hold an IV Certificate for the safe administration of Intravenous Infusions and be competent to carry out Phlebotomy and Cannulation
  • RGN or RM with a current NMC pin number
  • motivated and forward-thinking individual with excellent communication skills
  • good time management and prioritisation skills
  • NHS Nursing: 2 years
  • NHS Nursing: 1 year
