Responsibility

  • develop a rapid MVP for a web-based climate data platform
  • determine the best code base and architecture for the platform
  • design the initial UI and UX of the platform to be clear and easy to use
  • integrate easy-to-use analytics into platform to inform decision making and design
  • iterate on the development of the platform on the basis of conversations with early potential users
  • build out the full climate data platform with the support of a wider team
  • oversee development and documenting of REST APIs
  • where required present publicly on the platform, and draft the occasional blog post

Requirements

  • passionate about using data to accelerate the transition to net zero
  • advanced degree in computer science or similar
  • experience using Azure, Google Cloud or AWS
  • strong interest and ideally some experience in data science and machine learning
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail, a sense of urgency and a drive to get stuff done
  • 4+ years professional development experience developing responsive, interactive web-based applications
