Responsibility
- support the Chef to keep the kitchen in a clean and safe environment adhering to internal and external requirements
- encourage and model behaviour which is appropriate in a child environment being professional at all times
- support the Chef to ensure budgetary requirements are met
- use nominated suppliers and ensure all deliveries are accurate and record keeping is kept up to date
- support with other activities with the nursery events e.g. BBQ’s, Fetes, Staff meetings etc
- support the Chef and manager to work as a team to ensure a good or better inspection outcome
- in the absence of the Chef, be responsible for the cooking of the meals and the safe running of the kitchen
- support the Chef to prepare and cook enough age appropriate food for all the children on a daily basis with minimum wastage
