Responsibility
- manage all aspects of the bar's operation, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance
- develop and maintain a comprehensive cocktail menu, including signature drinks and seasonal specials
- train and supervise bar staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
- maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area, including stock management and equipment maintenance
- create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and ensure that all customer queries and complaints are handled promptly and professionally
- monitor and analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and ensure that all staff are trained to do the same
- build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for the supply of goods and services
Requirements
- proven experience as a Bar Manager, with a track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving financial targets
- relevant qualifications in mixology or related field would be advantageous
- knowledge of current trends in the bar and hospitality industry, including an understanding of popular drinks and cocktails
- excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers
- A DPS license is essential for this role
- flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
