Responsibility
- ensure high-quality workmanship, employ safe repair methods, and prioritize the safety of oneself and others involved in the repair
- maintain a clean and organised work van, ensuring easy access to tools, equipment, and van stock at all times
- possess and maintain the appropriate tools for the trade performed
- protect tenants' property before starting work and leave the property clean and tidy upon completion
- uphold the company’s ethos of integrity, doing the right thing even when unsupervised
- maintain a polite and professional demeanour, even when faced with difficult clients, and seek support from supervisors or foremen when needed
- take ownership of assigned jobs, following the agreed repair process from start to completion
- interact with the office to ensure accurate and complete information exchange regarding repairs and materials used
Requirements
- experience of working in Window, Door & Conservatory Maintenance & installation environments is preferred
- proficient in using phones or PDAs to communicate effectively, delivering clear and concise information while understanding the need for relevant details
- demonstrate competence as a tradesperson with the necessary tools for the job
- comfortable dealing with clients, maintaining professionalism during contentious issues and explaining necessary repairs
- proven work history in the glazing trade of 2-5 years
- possess technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge relevant to the trades performed, staying updated on changes
- possess a full Clean driving license
- understand the importance of completing outstanding work thoroughly and in one go
